Our Goal is to keep companion animals with their families and in their homes.

We understand that everyone has lifestyle changes and sometimes it can become difficult to accommodate your pets. We want you to be able to manage or prevent issues that may arise causing you to disown your four-legged children. We are here to educate owners on the many programs available from other rescue agencies as well as through SBTH.

mission 1Saved by the Heart was created by Jessica & Nathan Monroe on August 4, 2011. After 10 years of animal rescue work, we wanted to extend our efforts passed the animals that we care for in our home. We hope that by sharing our knowledge and rescue experiences with others that it will empower you to contribute some of your energy toward animal welfare causes.

We house rescued companion animals with special needs. Many of our animals are elderly, require daily medications, or undergo rehabilitation for previous abuse. We currently have 35 + animals in our care that consist of dogs and indoor cats, mission 2 some in our home or in foster homes. Over the years we have also worked with rabbits, mice, and birds (both wild & domestic). In 2015, we added 2 rescued goats expand to farm animals and livestock. We also assist in rehoming pets in our community as well as facilitate public events to bring animal lovers together.

We have a Facebook page and a Supporter’s group that were established to help keep you in-the-know about animal issues, inform you of beneficial programs, and share uplifting stories about our furry family members.

Thank you so much for your interest and support of the work we do. And we hope to bring you more valuable programs and events in the future.
